I ran my first ever creative workshop nearly 9 years ago, when I first began my business, Botanical Tales. At that point in time, when I was just starting out I really didn’t know what I was doing with my business or where I was heading, but I was at that stage in life where I just said yes to every opportunity that came my way.

A local independent shop approached me to ask if I would be interested in running a few christmas wreath workshops in her beautiful space in a town nearby to me. She never asked me if I had run one before and she had complete faith in my capabilities, which was lucky because at that point I did not.

Those early workshops taught me so very much. What not to do as well as forming the backbone of my understanding of what a good workshop entails. Some of what I share here may be subjective so please do take everything with a pinch of salt and if you have views you would like share with me, I would love to hear them in the comments below.
